Objective: Create desktop publications importing text and graphics (120.23.c.7.C)
Warmup: Open Warmup 4/19/10. Use complete sentences with complete ideas to answer the warmup questions. Delete the question.
1. What is the name of the new unit?
2. Name two different types of images.

Lecture: Graphics PP, animation

Assignment:
1. Choose a nursery rhyme from the "Nursery Rhyme Options" file in the Assignments folder.
2. Create a Storyboard for the nursery rhyme. Turn in Storyboard for project approval. NO violence or obscene scenes.
3. You will draw the background in Paint and import the image into Stick Pivot
  • Open Paint from Start/Programs/Accessories/Paint
  • Once background image is drawn, Save As BACKGROUND and choose the file type as "24-bit Bitmap"
  • Open Stick Pivot (Start/Programs/StickPivot), select File Load Background, navigate to your folder, and open the BACKGROUND file
4. Create your animation using at least two different figure types and at least 150 frames. You may use other figure types and letters. NO violence or obscene themes.....otherwise automatic zero for grade.
5. After saving your Stick Pivot as a regular Stick Pivot file (extension .piv), you will select File/Save Animation, change the "Save as type:" to Gif (.gif).
6. Due Wednesday; the Gif file will be a Project/Test grade. We will be viewing the Projects on Thursday and Friday after TAKS.
