Assignment:
1. Go to http://www.crews.org/curriculum/ex/compsci/keyboarding/day1keybd.htm
Answer the questions on the Keyboarding Technique handout ON YOUR OWN PAPER. Just the answer will be fine; no need for complete sentences on this assignment. Turn your paper in on the laptop.

2. Do keyboarding practice at www.freetypinggame.net until the bell rings:
A) If you don't always use home keys and/or your typing skills assessment was under 30 wpm, do:

For your goal, choose 10 points faster than your timed test. You MUST use Home Row keying. The speed goal is not nearly as important as learning to type by touch! When you have successfully accomplished this on both lessons, up your goal by another 5 points. Continue to work on these two lessons for the rest of the period; attempt to increase your speed and accuracy each time!
B) If you always use home keys and your typing skills assessment was over 30 but under 50 wpm, do:
Tests tab
Free Typing Tests
You will be working on lessons #6 & 7 today. 5 minute timed typing test.
When your test is complete, choose Yes to place your score on the scoreboard.
Use the username Mrs. Clary has assigned to you.
For Location, drop down list and choose USA-TX.
For School, type in Ellison.
Check the box that indicates you are 13 or older; Submit
